What happens to a site nobody looks after.

Nothing dramatic, at least not at first. The site works for a year or two, then things start to break quietly, without any notice.

• The certificate expires and the browser shows visitors a »connection is not secure« warning. Most of them leave right there.
• The contact form stops sending because the email provider changed its rules. Enquiries vanish and you assume there are none.
• An unupdated builder or plugin gets a known security hole. In site reviews we regularly find versions officially flagged as insecure, a year after the fix was released.
• The site slows down as images and scripts pile up with nobody clearing them. Google measures this and it counts on phones.
• Nobody has the logins. When something needs changing, it turns out the person who built the site has been unreachable for three years.

Care is not insurance against everything. It is an agreement that someone checks the site regularly, keeps it updated and calls you before any of the above happens.

What is in the package and what is not.

So there are no surprises on the first invoice.

The basic package at €49 a month covers hosting, the certificate, system and builder updates, daily backups and up to thirty minutes of minor fixes a month: a new photo, a changed price, a corrected sentence, a new team member.

Not included: new subpages, a visual redesign, longer copywriting and ads. Those are quoted separately or covered by the SEO Growth package, which includes one new content page a month and up to two hours of fixes.

Unused minutes do not roll over. If there are no fixes one month, the time goes into updates and the review you do not otherwise see.

Taking over an existing site.

Care is not tied to a site we built. We take over sites by other providers too, as long as they can be maintained technically.

• Review: within a day or two we look at the code, hosting, logins and security. We tell you what is fine and what is not, with no obligation.
• Transfer: we move the site to our hosting and sort out the certificate. The domain stays with you; we only need access to its settings.
• First month: we clear out outdated builders, surplus plugins and images so the site is fast and up to date. This is included.

We can maintain WordPress and most modern sites. Sites on closed builders such as Wix and Squarespace cannot be moved; with those we tell you upfront and suggest a redesign when it makes sense.

Response times.

Written down, not promised verbally.

• Site down or showing an error: we start the same working day, usually within hours. With the SEO Growth package, monitoring alerts us to an outage, often before you notice it.
• Minor content fix: within two working days. You send it by email and get a confirmation once it is done.
• System updates: once a month, outside working hours, so visitors notice nothing.

We work Monday to Friday. For sites that sell over the weekend we agree on standby separately; it is not part of the basic package.
